I am completely in awe of the personalised, attention to detail and customer centred approach that we have experienced working with Mangar. Janine takes such a personal interest in her clients and goes over and above to make sure that every piece of furniture, every cushion, every curtain, every vase, every flower - absolutely EVERYTHING is EXACTLY what her clients want - I’ve truly never experienced such care and personal investment.
I could not recommend Mangar more - literally 20 out of 10

The best house interior decor shop in Johannesburg. I needed some of their sublime wallpaper which came beautifully wrapped when I collected it from the store. The service was so very friendly. I will be going back for more of their superb stock in future. Altogether, an excellent experience.

This is the only place I shop for beautiful French styled furniture!! Out of this world customer service and sincere interest. Thank you again Janine for my gorgeous frames for my son’s wedding pics.

Working with Janine at House of Mangar has been an absolute joy. She completely transformed not only my home, but also my son’s first independent living space, turning both into beautiful, functional, and welcoming environments that truly reflect who we are. Her sense of style is impeccable, and she has a remarkable ability to balance aesthetics with practicality.
What really sets her apart is her dedication to understanding her clients’ needs, and working within their budget. She doesn’t just impose a vision—she collaborates with you, listens carefully, and helps shape a design that feels personal, intentional, and cost-effective without ever compromising on quality.
From the initial consultation to the final touches, her service was exceptional. She handled every detail with professionalism and care, always making me feel confident and supported throughout the process. I now have a home I genuinely love spending time in, and my son is thrilled with his newly styled space.
I can’t recommend her highly enough to anyone looking to create something beautiful and liveable, no matter the size of the project or the budget. She brings both creativity and heart to everything she does.

Ive been buying and customising furniture from Janine at Mangar for years. The detail and quality of furniture is absolutely impeccable, far beyond anything in SA.

Went into the Bryanston shop and received such a warm welcome. Very helpful staff who listened to my thoughts and made it a reality. Adore the new furniture in the living room. Makes it my own. Couldn’t be happier!
